Sweetheart Succulents DIY

Sweetheart Succulents

Having a few girlfriends over for some Valentine’s Day cheer is one of my favorite ways to celebrate. I like to keep it simple and festive because with my friends, wine and laughs are really all we need!

As an ode to all of the succulent conversations we are sure to have, I made lively take home centerpieces.

Valentine's Day Centerpieces

Craft box hearts, small succulents, tiny pebbles, potting soil and conversation heart candies are all you need.

Valentine's Day Ideas

Place a layer of tiny pebbles in the the bottom of your box for drainage and stability, top with potting soil, then plant your succulent.

Top with conversation hearts and you’re done!

To care for the plants until Valentine’s Day, I spray with water every few days, moving candies slightly so they don’t dissolve. After the holiday, remove candies and it can be lightly watered in the cardboard heart. I would remove and replant in a more permanent pot for the long term.

Kiss Your Glass - Wine Marker

Lipstick Wine Glass Markers

Once the girls get chatting, it is inevitable that someone will lose track of their wine glass.

I’m giving everyone a different colored lipstick and having them “kiss their glass” as a wine marker. Leaving behind lipstick on your glass has never been more chic.
